Have you ever had to make a really hard decision? Maybe you didn’t know if you should tell on someone who was doing something wrong. Maybe you couldn’t figure out how to handle a tricky situation with a friend. Maybe you weren’t sure what the right thing to do was.

Here’s great news: You don’t have to figure it all out by yourself! God promises that if you need wisdom (that’s knowing the right thing to do), all you have to do is ask Him. And He won’t just give you a little bit of wisdom. He gives “liberally,” which means generously! He wants to help you!

God doesn’t get annoyed when you ask. The verse says He gives “without reproach.” That means He won’t say, “Ugh, you’re asking me again? Figure it out yourself!” Nope! God loves when you come to Him with your questions and problems. He wants to help you make wise choices!

So the next time you’re not sure what to do, try this: Stop and pray! Say, “God, I don’t know what to do here. Please give me wisdom.” Then listen to what the Holy Spirit might be telling you, think about what the Bible says, and maybe talk to a wise grown-up. God will help you figure it out!
