The Gospel has never been popular with the world.
Jesus told His followers to love their enemies—radical then, radical now. He declared Himself the only way to God, the resurrection, and the life. These are not soft claims. They never have been.
But here’s what spurs me on in ministry: there are millions of people who need exactly what we have to offer. They are looking for hope…but they might not be looking for us.
They’re scrolling. Searching. Asking questions they don’t know how to answer. Carrying burdens they can’t name. And the last place many of them expect to find an answer is a church, a Christian broadcast, or a Bible.
So, we’ve had to ask ourselves—and we’ve asked you, too—how do we reach someone who isn’t looking for us?
The answer has led you and me to some unexpected places. Times Square. Viral videos. SmartSearch technology that meets people where they’re already asking questions. A docudrama that tells the story of Christ in a way that stops a skeptic mid-scroll (or mid-channel surfing).
Because the Gospel message is too important to deliver only to the people already sitting in the pews.
While the world calls the Gospel controversial, you’ve chosen to stand behind it anyway. And you’ve carried it to places it has never gone before, in ways it has never been told before.

Controversial
The world has an opinion about what we believe—it always has. In a culture where many say all truth is equal and all gods are the same, Turning Point continues to boldly deliver biblical truth—faithfully proclaiming the Gospel in our ever-changing world.
Why so controversial? Because the claims of Christ don’t leave room for compromise. They never did. Here are the beliefs the world pushes back on most—and why we hold them anyway.
The world says: all paths lead to the same place.
There is only one way to God.
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”John 14:6
The world says: this life is all there is.
Death is not the end.
“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.”John 11:25
The world says: protect yourself. Return what you’re given.
Love your enemies.
“But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you.”Matthew 5:44
The world says: look inside yourself.
True happiness is found in Christ.
“These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.”John 15:11
The world says: you’ve earned it. Keep it.
Generosity, not accumulation, is the point.
“As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”1 Peter 4:10
